  1. What does it cost to join? A: AAC annual club dues are $30 and USATF membership is $30.
  2. How do I join? A: Just click here and send us your basic information. We will reach out to you regarding your singlet.
  3. Where do I send my club dues? A: Send a check for $30 made out to Rob Picotte, who is our club treasurer. Mailed to Rob Picotte, 11 Saratoga Farm Road, Malta, NY 12020.
  4. What do my club dues go towards? A: Each year we give out a clothing item to each current member. In your 1st year of membership, that is your race singlet and shorts. Each year after that, the item varies but they are always awesome. Look for AAC athletes sporting vests, hats, sweatshirts, compression shorts, etc. We also have a club dinner at Pinhead Susan's in Schenectady each year, usually in December, and the club dues and winnings go to pay for most of that event, which is open to all current club members.
  5. Is there a Facebook page or Twitter account? A: Yes! We can be found at facebook.com/AACRunning and twitter.com/AdirondackAC.
  6. Do I have to wear the team uniform at races? A: No! Wear whatever you like.
  7. Does AAC hold formal workouts? A: Nothing official, but many of our athletes get together regularly. For example, we have a group that does track speed work on Saturday mornings during the Summer and Fall, usually at the Niskayuna HS track. We also have a group that does indoor workouts at Union College during the winter. Look for emails sent to all members as to the time and place. throughout the year.
  8. Aren't you just a Men's Masters club? A: At one time, yes. However, in 2014 we added a Women's Open and Master's Team. As of 2016, the Men's team is now open to all ages, not just those over 40. So, we are truly an "All Comers" club!
  9. What races does AAC enter? A: It depends on interest level, but traditionally, we have teams in the Freihofer Run for Women, Runnin' of the Green, Delmar Dash, Bill Robinson 10k, Firecracker 4, Watervliet Arsenal 5k, Saratoga XC Classic, Stockadathon 15k, and the Troy Turkey Trot 10k. But if enough athletes are interested, we will enter a team(s) in any event. We also have individuals competing in many other races and meets, so even if we don't have a team entered, it is likely you will be participating with other AAC runners. We also participate in USATF indoor and outdoor track meets.
  10. Would I be expected to enter all the team races? A: Not at all! Pick and choose to run with us whenever you like. No pressure whatsoever!
  11. I already belong to a running club; can I join AAC too? A: You can only be a member of one USATF club, but there is no problem with being a part of another running group and running with AAC.
